Michigan Colleges Foundation site receives national recognition
The Michigan Colleges Foundation's new website, www.michigancolleges.org, received a 2011 WebAward in Nonprofit Excellence from the Web Marketing Association. The site, built by Lansing-based CiesaDesign, is also being recognized as a best practice by the Foundation for Independent Higher Education. The site will be discussed in a panel presentation in 2012 as one of the top three related sites in the country.
Founded in 1949, the Michigan Colleges Foundation is a collective of 14 independent colleges and universities located throughout Michigan. MCF works to provide financial resources that support scholarships and operations and to develop collective initiatives that attract, engage and retain talent for our state. Some of these initiatives include the MCF Collective College Fair, The Third 90 Initiative and the Think Michigan Marketing Campaign.
CiesaDesign is an Old Town based marketing firm in Lansing, Michigan, with a specialization in creative strategy and visual messaging. Its Vice President of Communications Kate Tykocki blogs on design, technology and community at http://bloggle.ciesadesign.com.
